About Us
Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together.
SOPAM Limited, with head office located in Suites # T5 Jiso Plaza, Jisonayili Tamale, Ghana, is a Ghanaian whose mission is to provide natural Shea butter, African black soap and other personal care products while helping to transform communities and promote women and children empowerment and wellbeing.
We at Sopam Limited are dedicated to creating the finest, most indulgent, all-organic shea butter and black soap using only ethically sourced ingredients. Based in Ghana, home to the shea tree which — with a touch of African sunshine — offers the secret to fantastically, healthy skin. The shea butter, created from the fruit of the African tree, and black soap offer endless benefits for our skin while leaving us smelling good enough to eat. Enriched with vitamins and skin-loving fatty acids, shea butter helps to soften, tone and soothe skin, while also providing anti-inflammatory and healing properties. The special shea ingredient has been used for centuries in Africa to alleviate skin related problems, and is proven to improve the condition of skin in much need of some TLC. For use on the face, body and scalp, our shea products are guaranteed to have you feeling nourished and beautiful, with no artificial chemicals that can irritate our skin.
HOW WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE?
Sopam Limited is currently working with 3 cooperatives of around 500 women in Northern Ghana. We help these hard-working, inspiring women to organize themselves in cooperatives (a shared profit organization) and train them in the production of organic, hand-crafted butter. Through this production, it offers rural African women the invaluable opportunity to work all year round and earn a supportive income. This not only helps their community, but also gives their children — especially young girls — access to a proper education and better future prospects. At Sopam Limited, we are not only passionate about natural, organic beauty products, but also the achievement of equitable, fair trade and equal opportunities for all.
